On this week’s episode of the podcast we have special guest Peter Pecotić. Peter is an Australian Croat and the director of a documentary called Countryman. The film starts with Peter retracing his father’s journey in Australia after leaving the Dalmatian coast. Events take a turn when he meets an artist who believes he also has Croatian roots and the two attempt to reconnect with their heritage together. In this episode we talk about the Croatian migration to Australia, the common theme of hardworking Croatian migrants, and some of the shared similarities to Australian indigenous peoples.
